Woman, child missing after car found submerged

GOSPORT, Ind. – Indiana Conservation officers are searching for a central Indiana woman and a child who may have been swept away after their vehicle became submerged in floodwaters.

Conservation officer were using airboats, divers and rescue personnel with boats in Saturday’s search for 22-year-old Jana Payton and 5-year-old Bronson Liggett. The Paragon residents went missing early Saturday.

Their vehicle was found near a submerged intersection in the Owen County town of Gosport about 40 miles southwest of Indianapolis.
