Pedestrian struck twice, killed named

Fifty-eight-year old Jamie Allen Frederick has been identified as the man killed while crossing Coliseum Boulevard late Saturday.

According to police, Frederick walked into the path of a southbound vehicle on Coliseum at Lake Avenue. He was struck by the first vehicle, and as he tried to get up was struck again by another vehicle.

He died at the scene.

According to the Allen County Coroner’s Office, Frederick’s death was ruled an accident and caused by blunt-force trauma.

Frederick’s death is the fifth traffic fatality in both Fort Wayne and Allen County this year.
