1 killed, 1 wounded in Indianapolis shooting

– Indianapolis police say two teenagers have been arrested after a shooting at a clothing store that left one person dead and a second wounded.

Police arrived at the Body Gear store on the city’s east side on Sunday afternoon and found two people suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both victims were taken to a hospital. Sgt. Kendale Adams says the male victim died at the hospital during surgery. The female victim was transported in good condition.

It is not clear whether either of the victims was a store employee.

Police said two people have been arrested – an 18-year-old and 17-year-old – who are both from Indianapolis.

Last year, Indianapolis had 125 homicides, its highest tally in seven years. This year, violence is on track to outpace 2013.
