Irish linebacker has surgery on right leg

SOUTH BEND – Linebacker Jarrett Grace had a rod inserted into his right leg to stabilize the healing process.

Coach Brian Kelly said the team should know in the next six weeks if Grace, who hasn’t played since breaking his tibia and fibula Oct. 5 against Arizona State, will be available for the fall.
