Volunteers sought

Erin’s House for Grieving Children is scheduling volunteer interviews for its April 28 training session. The orientation is at 5:30 p.m. It will be followed by training on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 30 to May 21. If interested, call 423-2466 or go to

Stuff the bus

Several community organizations are conducting the 10th annual Bus Stuff from Monday to April 6 to collect canned and packaged foods for Community Harvest Food Bank. Collection sites are Ivy Tech Northeast, Coliseum Campus at 3800 N. Anthony Blvd., Student Life Center at 3701 Dean Drive and Ivy Tech South Campus in the Public Safety Academy at 7602 Patriot Crossing; any Citilink bus; Community Harvest Food Bank; Kettler and Walb information desks at IPFW, 2101 Coliseum Blvd. E.; and at the following Komets games, April 2, 5 and 6.

Giving back

Camp Red Cedar, an Allen County summer camp and horseback riding facility for all abilities, received $25,000 from the AWS Foundation for camper scholarships and riding equipment.

Fort Wayne Children’s Choir received $13,000 from the Lincoln Financial Foundation to support music education programming.

Director named

Scott Garner has been named the new director of the Allen County Autism Society.
