Roberts to judge ‘Dancing’

Robin Roberts is taking on some night work as a guest judge on ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars.”

The “Good Morning America” anchor will appear on the show Monday alongside the regular panelists. She’s the first of several guest judges scheduled this season, including Ricky Martin and Redfoo from the band LMFAO.

Cassidy sentenced

A judge has sentenced 1970s teen heartthrob David Cassidy to three months in rehab and five years of probation in a drunken driving case.

Cassidy’s attorney, Steven Graff Levine, entered an open plea to a Los Angeles judge Monday, admitting that he was driving under the influence when he was arrested in January.

Levine says Cassidy has been in rehab and will remain for longer than his sentence requires.

TV judge arrested

The star of the TV show “Judge Joe Brown” has been arrested and charged with five counts of contempt of court in Tennessee, court officials in Memphis said Monday.

Shelby County Juvenile Court officials said the 66-year-old Brown was sentenced to five days in jail after causing an outburst Monday in a child support hearing. Brown is running in the Democratic primary for Shelby County district attorney general.

WREG-TV was reporting that Brown had been released from jail.
