Man strikes plea deal in molesting

A 64-year-old Fort Wayne man pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of child molesting in exchange for a 30-year prison sentence.

According to court documents, Donald E. Gray, of the 2700 block of Dellview Drive, had been charged in February with three counts of child molesting.

He was accused of molesting a 13-year-old girl repeatedly at her home between December and February. On Feb. 16, according to court documents, the girl’s father caught him and when Gray fled, he was found by police nearby.

Gray will be sentenced in April. In exchange for his guilty plea, the two additional charges of child molesting will be dismissed, according to court documents.
