Four escape burning home without injury

Two adults and two children escaped a burning home without injury Sunday night, according to the Fort Wayne Fire Department.

It took firefighters 17 minutes to get the fire, at 1025 E. Rudisill Blvd., under control, Battalion Chief Todd Korn said. Firefighters were called at 10:12 p.m.

Firefighters determined that the fire in the two-story home had started in the basement. The home sustained moderate fire, smoke and water damage.

Fort Wayne police, Indiana State Police and TRAA assisted firefighters. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
