    Heavy rains of 4 to more than 6 inches were reported in parts of northeast Indiana through Friday morning, the National Weather Service said.

Flood warnings issued, snow possible

The National Weather Service says minor flooding and a new round or two of snow are possible in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio.

Flood warnings are in place for the following rivers:

  • The north branch of the Elkhart River in Noble County;
  • The St. Joseph River in Allen and DeKalb counties; and
  • The Tiffin River in Defiance and Williams counties.
The weather service said there is a 30 percent chance of rain or snow Thursday night and a slight chance of the same before 11 a.m. Friday.

The area is forecast to have snow on Tuesday, although higher temperatures forecast for the day might produce rain instead.
