Applications to open for public housing

The Fort Wayne Housing Authority is reopening its public housing waiting list. The agency will accept applications for public housing starting at 8 a.m. April 2.

Applications will be available at Housing Authority offices at 2025 S. Anthony Blvd. and 7315 Hanna St.

Applications also may be printed from the agency’s website,

Applications may be dropped off at the above locations from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

They also may be mailed to Fort Wayne Housing Authority, 2025 S. Anthony Blvd., Fort Wayne, IN 46803.

The agency recently opened its waiting list for its Housing Choice Voucher program, formerly known as Section 8, and took in an estimated 6,000 applications.
