House, car damaged in Kinsmoor fire

A fire in the 1800 block of Kinsmoor Avenue early Sunday morning damaged a house and car, but no injuries were reported, the Fort Wayne Fire Department reports.

The two occupants of the house were standing outside when the fire crew arrived at 4:51 a.m., and fire was seen coming from the front of the house. A car in the driveway was damaged and the house had moderate damage, but firefighters got the flames under control within nine minutes, the statement said. Fire investigators determined that the fire started in the kitchen as a result of cooking.
