Child porn pics lead to felonies

A Fort Wayne man faces two felony charges after police found more than 1,800 child pornographic images on his computer, authorities said.

Charles W. Berry, 57, was charged Friday with two counts of felony child exploitation.

In September 2012, the FBI began investigating a website that had been used by people interested in exchanging images of child pornography, according to court documents.

The FBI obtained a copy of the website’s user names, album names, passwords, user comments and associated emails with IP logs.

On July 29, an FBI agent identified Berry under the usernames “jollyman” and “niceguy 112156,” court documents said.

In August, a federal search warrant was served and police found more than 1,800 images of child pornography on Berry’s laptop and storage device.

Berry, of the 1700 block of Reed Road, was being held in lieu of $5,000 bail.
