    The IPFW women’s volleyball was picked to finish second in the Summit League preseason poll of the league’s head coaches. The Mastodons received 53 points. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own teams.

IPFW volleyball sweeps

The IPFW men swept New Jersey Institute of Technology in a non-conference volleyball match 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-20) at the Gates Center on Saturday.

The Mastodons (15-4) were led by Andrew Sellan’s 16 kills and three service aces, Gabriel Quinones’ 28 assists, and Eddie Rivera’s 11 digs. Chris Kaepernick led the Highlanders (7-8) with eight kills.

IPFW plays host to conference rivals Grand Canyon in a two-night homestand starting at 7 p.m. Thursday.
