Mastodons will host CIT opening round game

It's official: Basketball season is not yet over in the Gates Center.

According to a university release, the IPFW men (24-10) will play host to a first-round College Insider Tournament (CIT) game Wednesday, March 19. Game time is 7 p.m.

Their opponent will likely be set late Sunday night or Monday.

This will be the first postseason tournament appearance for the Mastodons in their Division I history. They reached The Summit League tournament championship this week for the first time, falling to top-seed North Dakota State 60-57 in the title game.
