Fort Wayne police say they have blocked Calhoun Street between Wiebke and Pontiac streets near a home where a man has barricaded himself inside.

According to Public Information Officer Michael Joyner, at 1:30 a.m. Thursday, police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 100 block of Esmond St. When officers arrived, a woman came out of the home and a man stayed inside.

Joyner said the man refused to come out and threatened to shoot.

An hour later, police called out the Crisis Response and Emergency Services teams to the scene, Joyner said.
