Ants clip BayHawks

Led by Ron Howard's 22 points and Tim Ohlbrecht's 21, the Mad Ants defeated the Erie BayHawks 104-92 on Thursday night, in front of 2,094 fans at Erie Insurance Arena in Erie, Penn.

Howard made 9 of 15 shots and added six rebounds and four assists.

Ohlbrecht, playing just his third game with the Mad Ants (25-15), had 12 rebounds. In his first two games with Fort Wayne, which got him from Rio Grande Valley for a first-round draft pick, Ohlbrecht averaged only four points and four rebounds.

Teammate Chris Porter had 18 points on Thursday, while Jamaal Franklin had 14 points, eight rebounds and five assists.

Sadiel Rojas had 12 points and 10 assists for Fort Wayne, which plays tonight at Delaware and returns to Memorial Coliseum to play Delaware again.

Fort Wayne out-rebounded Erie 50-38.

The BayHawks (13-28), who never led by more than five points, were paced by Ty Walker's 18 points and Micah Downs' 16. Walker also had 13 rebounds.

The Mad Ants have won 4 of 5 games and 8 of their last 10.
