City man dies following Friday pedestrian accident

The man struck by a vehicle on Friday night on Meyer Road has died, and the Allen County coroner's office identified him today and ruled the death accidental.

Adam Christopher Shaw, 29, died at Lutheran Hospital on Sunday morning, the coroner's office said in a statement.

It said Shaw was walking in the roadway about 8:30 p.m. Friday when he was struck by a vehicle.

His death is the third traffic fatality in Fort Wayne and Allen County during 2014, the coroner's office said.

It remains under investigation by Fort Wayne police and the FACT Team.
