Manufactured housing company plans expansion

GOSHEN – A manufactured housing company is planning to expand a northern Indiana factory and add workers in the coming months.

Commodore Homes general manager Glen Alessandri said plans are to add about 15,000 square feet to its 100,000-square-foot factory in Goshen and ultimately hire more than 60 new workers.

Alessandri told The Elkhart Truth (http://bit.ly/1oEWK6M ) he expects construction to finish this summer and hiring to begin in April or May so that the new workers can undergo training.

The new jobs will be phased in during the next 18 months, depending on sales growth for the Goshen-based company.

The factory builds ranch-style homes in two- and three-section models that range up to 2,400 square feet.
