    A Fort Wayne woman has been arrested on a felony charge of promoting prostitution, and six other women were arrested on misdemeanor prostitution charges, in a Web sweep conducted this week, city police said today.

    A two story home went up in flames this morning and it took firefighters 18 minutes to get the fire under control, said Fort Wayne Fire Department Public Information Officer Stacy Fleming.

Public’s help asked in pawnshop theft

Fort Wayne police are asking the public’s help in identifying a man who stole a crossbow from a pawnshop.

The man – described as 5-foot-10, white and in his early 30s – walked into Cash America Pawn at 944 Coliseum Blvd N. about 5 p.m. on Feb. 21.

He was wearing Carhart camo pants and a stocking cap. He picked up the crossbow and waited in line as if he were going to pay.

After about 10 minutes or so he walked out with the bow, police said.
