Public’s help asked in pawnshop theft

Fort Wayne police are asking the public’s help in identifying a man who stole a crossbow from a pawnshop.

The man – described as 5-foot-10, white and in his early 30s – walked into Cash America Pawn at 944 Coliseum Blvd N. about 5 p.m. on Feb. 21.

He was wearing Carhart camo pants and a stocking cap. He picked up the crossbow and waited in line as if he were going to pay.

After about 10 minutes or so he walked out with the bow, police said.
