Tip leads to area heroin-dealing arrest

An anonymous tip led to the arrest of a Claypool woman accused of dealing heroin in Kosciusko County.

The Kosciusko County Drug Task Force went to a home at 7420 W. Bensart Drive on Wednesday and met with the homeowner, Teresa Lavone Lambert, 48.

Lambert admitted to selling heroin from her Beaver Dam Lake home, according to police, before deputies found 15 small bags of individually packaged heroine along with $800 in cash at the home.

Lambert was arrested and preliminarily charged with felony dealing a controlled substance.

She was being held at Kosciusko County Jail on $10,000 bail.

The 15 bags of heroin found at her home have a street value of about $3,000, police said.
