Claypool woman charged in heroin case

Lambert

A Claypool woman has been preliminarily charged with dealing heroin after an anonymous tip Wednesday led Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers to her door, the county sheriff's department said today.

Teresa Lavone Lambert, 48, is being held at the county jail on $10,000 bond, the sheriff's department said in a statement.

Task force officers went to Lambert's home on Beaver Dam Lake about 2 p.m. after receiving the tip, the statement said. They said Lambert acknowledged selling heroin from the home, and deputies located 15 small bags of heroin and $800 in cash.

Police said the bags of heroin had a street value of about $3,000.
