Couple charged with neglect, battery

A rural Hamilton couple was arrested Wednesday afternoon, accused of felony neglect of a dependent and felony battery to a child.

Christopher Wickerham, 29, and April Wickerham, 32, are accused of mistreating a 6-year-old, according to a statement issued by the Steuben County Sheriff's Department.

The investigation began in February.

The Wickerhams were being held without bond pending an initial court appearance, the statement said.
