25-year-old accused of soliciting teen on Facebook

A man being held on unrelated charges was served Tuesday with a warrant at the Noble County Jail, accusing him of felony child solicitation.

Jay J. King, 25, most recently of the 300 block of Silver Street in Kendallville, used his Facebook account to solicit sexual conduct with a 15-year-old girl, according to a statement issued by Noble County Prosecutor Steven Clouse.

He is scheduled for his first court appearance on the new charge today.

A relative of the girl reported the suspicious activity, Clouse said.

King was previously charged with residential entry, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, and Clouse said those charges are not related to the solicitation charge.
