3 inches of snow in Steuben County

The following statement was issued Sunday morning by the Steuben County Sheriff Deputies:

Steuben County Sheriff Deputies are reporting that roadways are snow covered with approximately 3+ inches of fresh snow thus far. Winds were calm last night with no drifting issues. County roads are snow covered and slippery yet passable. State roads including I69 are also snow covered and slippery this morning. All roads are snow covered enough that lane fog and center lines can not be seen. Snowfall continues this morning and heavy in some areas. As always, allow plenty of travel time, use your full headlights with day time driving to aid in other motorist visibility and drive with extra care should you choose to travel this morning.

Today Snow, mainly before 4pm. High near 18. Northeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Tonight A 30 percent chance of snow before 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around -1. Wind chill values as low as -15. North wind 5 to 10 mph.

Monday Mostly sunny and cold, with a high near 14. Wind chill values as low as -15. North wind 5 to 10 mph.

Monday NightPartly cloudy, with a low around -1. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
