Dots clothing stores to close

A women’s clothing store on the west side of Fort Wayne is closing as all Dots stores go out of business.

The Fort Wayne store is on South Thomas Road, just north of Illinois Road.

The Gordon Bros. Group announced Friday that the Ohio-based women’s fashion discount retailer is closing after 25 years.

The company filed for Chapter 11 protection on Jan. 20, and on Thursday, Gordon Brothers was awarded the store-closing process for all locations by the bankruptcy court, according to the announcement.

Dots has about 360 stores in 28 states.

Store closing sales will begin Saturday. Exact closing dates were not announced.
