Alexander A. White

A 21-year-old Fort Wayne man is accused of robbing a gas station and making off with $170 in cash last month.

Allen County prosecutors formally charged Alexander A. White, of the 3100 block of Vance Avenue on Tuesday with felony counts of robbery and unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.

White is accused going into the Lassus Handy Dandy at 8830 Coldwater Road with a gun Jan. 13.

Caught on video, the robbery shows a man investigators identified as White asking an employee to open a safe.

When the employee couldn’t, White made off with cash from the register, according to court documents.

While leaving the store, White is accused of threatening the employee.

White has a previous conviction for armed robbery and is also accused of robbing a Dollar General the day after the gas station robbery.
