Mural a tribute to turtle

Cathie Rowand | The Journal Gazette
Renee Bentz paints a mural of Cedar Creek in between receptionist duties at Metea County Park Nature Center on Monday. Bentz decided to paint the mural in honor of Pocky, a female spiney softshell turtle who lived at the nature center and has since died. Her portrait is painted just below where Bentz is painting a redhorse sucker fish. Bentz hopes to complete the mural by spring.
