East State Boulevard hit by water main break

Update issued by city about 2 p.m. Saturday: East State Boulevard has reopened to traffic.

FORT WAYNE – City Utilities crews are working to repair a water main break on East State Boulevard in front of Bob Arnold Northside Park, the city announced Saturday morning.

East State Boulevard is closed to traffic between Kentucky Avenue and Bayer Avenue, according to the notice.

Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area.

The city said it is not known how long the repair will take to complete.
