Red Carpet

  • Make the Emmys ‘one-and-done’
There was something embarrassing about the rash of repeat treating on Monday’s Emmycast. It might have left viewers wondering if they had stumbled on a rerun of last year’s show, or the one before that.
  • Not a good night for movies stars at Emmys
The Emmys welcomed plenty of movie stars to television’s biggest awards show, including Julia Roberts, Woody Harrelson, Kevin Spacey, Mark Ruffalo and the reigning Oscar winner for best actor, Matthew McConaughey.
  • Reds, blues dominate red carpet at Emmys
Lena Dunham showed up for the Emmys in an awkward pink confection and Kerry Washington went for a bright orange dress with dark sparkle peeking out from underneath, but it was the reds and blues that dominated the carpet Monday.

Pink joins Oscars lineup

LOS ANGELES – Have the Oscars gone Grammys?

Producers of the 86th Academy Awards announced Friday that Pink will appear on the Oscar show.

The Grammy-winning singer joins a lineup already set to include performances by U2, Pharrell Williams, Bette Midler, rocker Karen O and Broadway star Idina Menzel.

Producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan didn’t specify what Pink’s performance will entail. They also haven’t said what song Midler will sing.

Williams, Menzel, Karen O and U2 are set to perform their nominated original songs on the March 2 show.
