Undercover operation ends in oxycodone arrest

Shane A. Smith

The Kosciusko County Drug Task Force arrested a Milford man on Wednesday, accused of selling oxycodone to undercover officers.

Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers and sheriff’s deputies arrested and preliminarily charged Shane A. Smith, 26, with felony dealing in a Schedule I controlled substance, according to a statement issued by the task force.

It said that undercover units bought prescription medication from Smith when he lived in Syracuse. He was being held on a $10,000 bond in the Kosciusko County Jail.

Sheriff Rocky Goshert in the statement said that concerned citizens aided in this effort. He said anonymous information about any drug or criminal activity in Kosciusko County can be made to the department’s tip line, 574-372-2494.
