An alert received Thursday morning from the Noble County Emergency Management Agency & 911 Center:
Rising temperatures will cause melting of existing snow pack covering Noble County and, along with forecast rain, there is the potential to create flooding situations at or near our lake-areas. It could also produce flooding in low lying areas along Noble County roadways. Noble County Officials are reminding residents use extreme caution should you encounter floodwaters.
If Noble County residents should need sandbags, contact Michael (Mick) Newton, Noble County Emergency Management Director, at 260-347-7378. or 260-636-2938. We currently have a limited supply of pre-filled sandbags that are available on a first-come, First-served basis. If those are gone residents may fill their own bags. We have some bag-filling devices to help you fill you own. Please call to get instruction on how to get sandbags.
