4-year prison term for sex with teen

A 30-year-old man was sentenced to four years in prison after he admitted to having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl he met online.

Jason M. Willis, of the 6100 block of Graymoor Lane, pleaded guilty in January to a single charge of sexual misconduct with a minor, a Class C felony.

On Friday, Allen Superior Judge Fran Gull accepted the plea agreement and sentenced Willis to a total of eight years in prison but suspended four years and ordered three years to be served on probation.

Additional charges of sexual misconduct with a minor and two counts of child solicitation were dismissed under the terms of the plea agreement.

According to court documents, the crimes occurred between August and September 2012, and the girl’s father reported the sexual contact to police in October 2012.

The girl said she met Willis on a chat website.
