Suspect charged in Fort Wayne double shooting

A Fort Wayne man wanted in a double shooting Tuesday on Decatur Road was arrested Friday afternoon.

Trameil Jackson, 24, was charged Friday with felony attempted murder and carrying a handgun without a license, the Fort Wayne Police Department said.

He also faces a misdemeanor charge of being an unlicensed driver.

About 1:35 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to Decatur Road and Dawnan Drive.

DeAndrew Moore and Devonte Jones were found on the ground outside the car they had been riding in, police said. Both were taken to a hospital in fair condition.

Officers found multiple .223-caliber shell casings near the scene, and the vehicle had a broken rear window that appeared to have been shot out.

Jackson, of the 8500 block of Lakeside Drive, is a member of Fort Wayne street gang MOB and was carrying a Charter Arms .38 revolver at the time of his arrest, police said.

He was being held at the Allen County Jail without bail.
