5 arrested after city drug probe

Five people were arrested on drug-related charges Friday after a six-month investigation by Fort Wayne police.

Homes were searched in the 600 block of Archer Avenue, the 1300 block of Fay Drive and the 11000 block of Saint Ives Drive, Fort Wayne police said.

Stacy D. Martin, 40, of the 1300 block of Fay Drive, was charged with possession of cocaine, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of paraphernalia and 10 counts of dealing cocaine. She was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Damarcus A. Thomas, 29, of the 11200 block of St. Ives Drive, was charged with four counts of dealing cocaine. He was being held without bail on a probation violation.

Aaron L. Montgomery, 45, of the 7600 block of Melody Circle West, was charged with dealing cocaine and visiting a common nuisance. He was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Jerry L. Thomas, 63, of the 11200 block of St. Ives Drive, was charged with maintaining a common nuisance, possession of paraphernalia and two counts of possession of stolen property after police said they discovered a stolen handgun and shotgun during the search.

A fifth man was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of visiting a common nuisance.
