  • Apartment residents flee smoke
    A fire smoked out some residents from their apartments and sent one person to a hospital early Tuesday. The Fort Wayne Fire Department was called about 5:10 a.m.

3 accused of selling cocaine

FORT WAYNE – After a six-month investigation, city police searched three homes Friday, arresting three people accused of selling cocaine.

Detectives from the Fort Wayne Police Department Vice and Narcotics Division, assisted by the department's Emergency Services Team and the Allen County SWAT Team, went to homes in the 600 block of Archer Avenue north of downtown, in the 1300 block of Fay Drive southwest of downtown and the 11000 block of Saint Ives Drive on the city’s far north side.

Police said:

  • A woman identified as Stacey D. Martin was charged with 10 counts of dealing cocaine, possession of cocaine, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • A man identified as Aaron L. Montgomery was charged with dealing cocaine and visiting a common nuisance.
  • A man identified as Damarcus A. Thomas was charged with four counts of dealing cocaine.
Two other people also were arrested

Police said they recovered a stolen handgun and shotgun.
