100 pot plants found in DeKalb

DeKalb County officers attempting to find a man suspected of domestic battery discovered both the man and a large marijuana-growing operation Monday.

About 9 p.m., officers went to the 5100 block of County Road 39 in DeKalb County in search of a man police believe was involved in a domestic battery in Allen County.

Officers found the man but noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from an outbuilding on the property, police said.

About 100 marijuana plants were found growing in the outbuilding, police said.

The man’s name was not released Tuesday, and charges are pending, police said.
