A Warsaw man has been charged with selling a mounted badger on Craigslist, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources said today.

The 21-year-old man has been charged with unlawful possession of wildlife and unlawful sale of wildlife, both misdemeanors, conservation officers said in a statement.

Acting on a hotline tip, conservation officers investigated the allegations against the man, the statement said. It said it is unlawful to possess or sell protected species without the proper permit from Indiana or another state.
