Presidents’ birthday present to us? Above freezing

FORT WAYNE – Northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio might flirt later this week with temperatures approaching not-freezing, but the National Weather Service in northern Indiana says the frigid streak will likely get a real reprieve soon.

Monday is Presidents’ Day – which celebrates the February birthdays of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln – and it could bring a high of 38 degrees in Fort Wayne, the weather service said.

Snow is possible starting Thursday evening, according to the forecast.
