Black Pine cancels Saturday 'Cats 'n' Cocoa' event

Black Pine Animal Sanctuary said today it was canceling Saturday's "Cats 'n' Cocoa" event because of the significant snow in the area, much of which is sitting atop ice.

In a statement, the sanctuary said officials "felt the risks to the safety of guests, as well as staff and animals, was too great."

Black Pine said it would add another event, St. Catty's Day, from 1 to 4 p.m. March 15, "when guests will be able to enjoy many of the same activities and exhibits."
