Fire guts garage on St. Marys Ave.

A fire Friday heavily damaged a detached garage at a home on St. Marys Avenue, Fort Wayne firefighters said.

Firefighters said they were called to 2519 St. Marys Ave. about 2:45 p.m. on a report of smoke in the area.

Crews discovered a detached garage on fire and brought the fire under control in seven minutes.

No one was home at the time, and no one was injured, firefighters said.
