Statement issued Saturday morning by Steuben County officials:
The Snow ADVISORY Level for Steuben County has been lifted effective (immediately). County roadways continue to be snow covered and slippery in portions of the county. Some state roads are completely bare where others have bare trails with snow/ice still remaining. County roads continue to have large piles of snow at intersections and along certain portions that narrow lanes. All are passable. Please drive with care and continue to give yourself plenty of travel time and plenty of stopping distance between other vehicles and at intersections. Use headlights during the day to aid in visibility. Large snow banks reduce visibility at intersections and driveways. Extra caution is required at these locations.
