Lorde headed to Preakness

Lorde will headline the Preakness infield concert at Pimlico Race Course in May.

The Maryland Jockey Club announced Thursday that the 17-year-old breakout star from New Zealand will perform an extended set during the infield festival May 17 at the 139th Preakness Stakes.

Lorde won Grammy Awards last month for song of the year and best pop solo performance for her No. 1 single “Royals.”

Fox hires Carville

Fox News Channel says it has hired Democratic strategist James Carville as a contributor.

The channel said Thursday he will offer commentary during appearances on various Fox News Channel programs.

Carville’s TV work includes co-hosting the 2002-05 edition of “Crossfire” on CNN.
