Subzero wind chills expected overnight

The National Weather Service has issued wind-chill advisories for all of northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio from tonight through midday Friday.

The advisories call for wind-chill factors of 15 to 25 degrees below zero, in which exposed skin can become frostbitten in as few as 30 minutes.

The advisory lasts from 8 p.m. tonight to noon Friday for Adams, Allen, Huntington, Kosciusko, Noble, Wabash, Wells and Whitley counties.

It lasts from midnight tonight to noon Friday for DeKalb, LaGrange and Steuben counties in Indiana and for Defiance, Paulding, Van Wert and Williams counties in Ohio.

In Mercer County, Ohio, a wind-chill advisory is from 8 p.m. tonight through 11 a.m. Friday, the weather service said.
