3 charged in motel-room meth bust

Three adults were arrested late Tuesday on meth-related charges after a one-pot meth lab was found in a room at a local motel, Fort Wayne police said tonight.

Police said Samantha Cole, 23, Brandon A. Gammons, 27, and Stephen R. Knott, 28, were charged with manufacturing methaphetamine, possession of two or more precursors, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of methamphetamine.

In a statement, police said officers received information that there was an active one-pot meth lab inside a room at the Travel Inn, 2712 Coliseum Blvd. W.

Officers arrived there and located the lab, police said. They said several nearby rooms were evacuated, and the occupants sheltered in the lobby for about an hour, until the lab was neutralized.
