2 charged after woman escapes, police say

At 6:55 a.m. Tuesday, the Van Wert (Ohio) Police Department Dispatch Center received a call from a woman who said she was held for more than 24 hours before getting away.

Two suspects at 412 1/2 S. Washington St. were charged, according to Van Wert police -- Elmeco R. Crisp, 38, of Lima, Ohio, was charged with abduction and felonious assault, and James D. Wilson, 57, of the Washington Street address, was charged with felonious assault.

No further information was immediately available.
