Central Ind. man accused of sex trafficking, child porn

INDIANAPOLIS — Federal prosecutors say a grand jury has indicted an Indianapolis man on sex trafficking, child pornography and other charges involving victims ranging in age from 12 to 21.

They said Tuesday 24-year-old Jerry Mitchell ran a prostitution operation on the near north side of Indianapolis last May and June and one occasion made a video recording of the sexual abuse of the 16-year-old female victim.

The nine counts against Mitchell also include sex trafficking of a child and transporting a child to engage in prostitution.

A federal magistrate ordered Mitchell held Tuesday pending trial. A message seeking comment was left for his attorney.
