Heavy snow band hit region

Some areas of northeastern Indiana and northwestern Ohio got 3 to 7 inches of snow this morning.

The National Weather Service in northern Indiana said Adams, Wells and Van Wert counties were in the heavy snow band.

It released preliminary snowfall results Sunday for the region. It said that Bluffton had 6.5 inches of snow and Van Wert had 7 inches.

The rest of the region was forecast to get light snow.
