More than 100 million viewers are expected to watch Super Bowl XLVIII tonight. Don’t feel left out if you aren’t one of them – there are plenty of other things to watch during the seemingly endless hours of coverage.

Grab some chips and dip from the football party in the living room and sneak off to find another TV. Here are some of the offerings you will find today.

Furry friends

Felines frolic in the first “Kitten Bowl” from noon to 3 p.m. on Hallmark Channel. Canines cavort in the annual “Puppy Bowl X,” which starts at 3 p.m. on Animal Planet.

British invasion

Season 3 of “Sherlock” comes to a close tonight with “His Last Vow,” which starts at 9:58 p.m. on PBS after a new episode of “Downton Abbey” (9 p.m.).

Vampires sparkle

Catch Bella and her leading men as they fight their way through the first three films of the franchise on FX. “Twilight” airs at 6:30 p.m., “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” is on at 9 p.m. and “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” starts at midnight.

Green machine

Spend some time with Shrek and his pals with “Shrek” at 6 p.m., “Shrek 2” at 8 p.m. and “Shrek the Third” at 10 p.m. on TBS.

Awards season

Take a look at the history of the Academy Awards with the new-this-weekend documentary “And the Oscar Goes To …” at 10 p.m. on TCM.

Fab four

A selection of “Sex and the City” episodes from 2 to 9 p.m. on E! follows Carrie’s love life from the beginning of the series with the pilot and ends with the two-part series finale.

Catch up with the new reality series, “Wahlburgers,” which follows the family of Mark and Donnie Wahlberg and their burger joint. From 5 to 6:30 p.m. on A&E.
