Theft complaint leads to meth arrests

Two Kendallville residents were arrested early Friday and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a common nuisance.

Kendallville police were investigating a possible theft complaint at 2:45 a.m. Friday when they smelled a strong odor associated with making methamphetamine. They followed the smell to the apartment of Russell Wayne Mason, 32, and Victoria K. Pulaski, 35, at 236 S. Grant Street, Apartment A.

Police said they were given permission to search the apartment and found items used to make methamphetamine and methamphetamine lab trash, as well as a small amount of a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. Both suspects were taken to the Noble County Jail and held without bail.
