Dozens of pot plants seized in Decatur

More than 40 marijuana plants, processed pot and equipment used in the growing operation were seized Friday morning in Decatur, according to a statement issued by the Indiana State Police post in Fort Wayne.

An anonymous tip was forwarded six or seven weeks ago from Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana about pot being grown inside the house at 421 Johns St., state police said.

About 10:50 a.m. Friday, state police Sgt. Dan Mawhorr and officers from the Decatur police and Adams County sheriff's departments searched the house and arrested the residents.

Marc A. Hill, 33, was charged with manufacturing marijuana within 1,000 feet of a youth program center, possession of more than 30 grams of marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia.

Haven Jade Proctor, 32, was charged with possession of more than 30 grams of marijuana and visiting a common nuisance.
